If this is your first IPI Conference & Expo, we know it can be a bit overwhelming. There is a lot to do and figuring out your schedule and meeting new people can be overwhelming. We're here to help!
First, when registering, be sure to let us know if you would like a Conference Mentor for your time during the event. We'll connect you with one of your peers who can help show you the ropes. When you're on show site, be sure to stop by Central Perks just outside the General Session Ballroom or by the Member Services Center in the Expo Hall to chat with one of our Team Members about all the resources IPI has available to you both during and after the show!

Mystery Evening Experiences
The easiest way to break the ice is to find something in common with other attendees. There is no better way to do that than to sign up for one of the Optional Mystery Evening Experiences to help get your blood pumping and your mind right for the week ahead plus be able to soak in a little bit of Orlando on your terms with other conference attendees. Check out the diverse list of networking opportunities and be sure to add them to your registration. Note: Tours have minimum and maximum guarantees so be sure to sign up early to guarantee a spot.

So you came with problems but you're new and you haven't got a clue who to talk to about the challenges going on in your organization. Check out one of our Shoptalks geared specifically to each segment of the industry and believe it or not, the conversation will flow from the moment you step in the room -- because these sessions are controlled by you, the attendee.

If you're smart, you've already packed in a full day and made some valuable connections. Now that you're starting to feel like you're coming out of your shell; keep the momentum going at the official kickoff event where attendees will be taken to one of Orlando’s top destinations, featuring award-winning cuisine, for an electrifying evening to remember. Bring your dancing shoes and don’t forget to wear white!

The IPI Conference & Expo can be a bit overwhelming, even for Conference & Expo pros! Come join us and visit with leadership and staff to learn how to navigate the week and meet a friend or two. Be sure to add this to your registration!
Monday, June 4 - Wednesday, June 6
Pop by Central Perks each morning to meet up with other first time attendees and some “regulars” to chat and head into the General Session or other learning sessions. Look for our IPI Event staff in easily identifiable attire or stop by the IPI Member Community Center in the Expo Hall anytime you have questions. Our staff and volunteers want to make navigating the meeting as easy as possible. Download the mobile app – tons of up-to –the-minute updates, engaging with other attendees, program at your fingertips. And our Learning Labs are the best place to have more informal presentations and be able to interact with the presenters – right on the show floor.

Rest assured you'll be able to easily spot other FTAs (First Time Attendees), from the "newbie/bee" stickers on their badges. New this year, we will also have First Timers ribbons. Make sure to grab one for yourself at the registration desk!

The best way for you to help is simply to connect. If you see a first timer, say hello! Introduce them to some of your contacts. Sit by them in a general session. Not only will you be helping the first timers, but you'll be building your own network and quite possibly making a great new friend!
