Leave the tuxedo at home!  Business casual attire is both acceptable and preferred.  Be comfortable!  The average high is 80 degrees in Anaheim, and low of 65 degrees; pack smart!  And it never hurts to add an umbrella!

The opening welcome event is fun and casual so we want you to dress the same.

The conference and hotel locations are all in close proximity to one another and IPMI will not be offering daily shuttle service so bring comfortable shoes.

Absolutely and you’ll find that it’s quite the buzz during the event with attendees engaging and connecting virtually even on the go.  You’ll also find that it’s packed full of information and this year, in an effort to be more sustainable, IPMI is reducing our onsite Program Guide content and including it in the mobile app.  It’s also a useful tool to start planning your session participation and getting to know other attendees long before your feet hit the ground in Anaheim not to mention some fun incentives and hidden treasures for those who really like to get engaged!   You can find the mobile app in the Google Playstore or Apple App Store by searching for IPMI2019 beginning in late March/early April.

First of all, welcome and we’re glad you’ve decided to join us; you won’t regret it! Second of all, we encourage you to attend the first-timer breakfast bootcamp and let us know if you need a Conference Guide to help you navigate the show (it’s pretty big and can be pretty overwhelming with so many options and so much going on at once).  Be sure to download the conference mobile app from the Google Playstore (late March/early April) or APP Store.

We are happy to have you join us to walk our show floor for you to evaluate the IPMI Conference & Expo as a potential market for your company.

There are two options for this process:  One, you can pay for an expo hall pass and be able to access the hall during the stated ticket time you purchase OR we are happy to provide a representative from our staff to provide you with a quick pre-scheduled tour of our hall for no charge.  Contact exhibits@parking-mobility.org to arrange this request.

The Call for Presentations is closed for 2019.  For more information, including the submission process for future events, contact Kathleen Federici, federici@parking-mobility.org, with any questions.

You may also want to consider being a Learning Lab presenter. Learning Labs are held on the show floor during show hours and open to expo hall attendees.  There is a fee to be a Learning Lab presenter.

For more details, visit our website or contact us at exhibits@parking-mobility.org.

All programming will be held at the Conference Center. Locations for events not being held at the Center will be noted in the Events Section of the website or noted in the Schedule-at-a- Glance.

Hotel, Property, and Travel

The hotel cut-off is May 21st, however, please be aware, this only means that the IPI contracted block of rooms is available to book up until that date, based on availability  Many of our properties sell out well in advance of the cut-off date.  Book early!

Deep breath!  We want you there as much as you want to be there but we’ve got to be honest, we do not hold any sub-blocks or spare rooms in our back pocket.  And when the cut-off date is gone, we have just a wee bit more pull than you do to try to get you in one of our properties at the IPMI negotiated rate, however, we will always give you 150% effort to make it happen.  If you have missed the deadline, please contact Michelle Jones at mjones@parking-mobility.org for assistance.

You can certainly book at any hotel property you desire and we understand that some of you may have your own organizations rules of travel, requiring you to stay at a specific hotel chain,  however, there are multiple benefits to both you, the attendee and to IPMI, the organization for this sort of partnership.

  1.  Rates and concessions have been specifically negotiated for IPMI attendees to help reduce costs in a number of ways including, complimentary Wi-Fi in some properties, complimentary breakfasts and/or evening refreshments or happy hours at other properties.
  2. IPMI and/or our partners/sponsors occasionally arrange for special messaging or room deliveries to IPMI attendees.  If you have not booked inside the block, you are liable to miss out on important messages/offers or even surprise room drops.
  3. When IPMI has contracted a block of rooms and those blocks aren’t met, the association faces the potential of attrition which often includes financial impact to the association.  Each year when contracting with our properties, IPMI uses a matrix and historical data to contract for the total sleeping rooms for the event.  When you book outside the block, that data is not captured inside IPMI’s data and is not attributed towards IPMI’s contracted block and could adversely affect the association.
As an incentive to stay in the contracted block, all IPMI participants who do will be entered into a drawing to win 50,000 Hilton Honors points or 50,000 Marriott Rewards points.

None of our properties will contact you initially to book your hotel.  These are pop-up entities that prey on convention traffic to run scams or meet quotas.  Often times they will book your room but later you will find out that you don’t have a room onsite or you pay additional fees.  These “room pirates” are extremely unscrupulous and are often long gone by the time the event rolls around.  We strongly encourage you to book inside IPMI’s block to protect yourself and reap the benefits of IPMI’s negotiated concessions and messaging service during the event.

Registration

IPMI does have a scholarship fund available to CAPP credential holders. Please download and read the guidelines for applying here.

Please visit the Registration Packages & Rates page for more information.

Earlier the better!  And here’s why:

1.  Before Feb 15th and you save $300 off your conference registration.
2.  Many of our events, tours and activities, pre-conference and even some sessions have limited availability so the sooner you lock in your spot, the better chance you have to get to participate in every activity/event/session you want.
3.  The sooner you register, the sooner you’re in the “know” about all the details as they are released.

Full registration fees include access to all learning activities Sunday through Wednesday, admission to the Expo Hall with food/beverage tickets, Opening Welcome Event on Monday evening, and  all General Sessions.  Also includes daily coffee service discount at Java City, three lunches and one evening reception.

We offer a variety of registration types: full conference, individual days, all expo, expo only for certain dates, etc. For more information, visit the Registration Packages & Rates page.

Great question! You must register all? of your staff at one time during one process to receive those rates. The registration form will allow you to add multiple registrants to the initial registration prior to submitting your payment details.  And if different departments have to use different credit cards; no worries, our form can handle that as well.

If you experience challenges, please feel free to call us at 571.699.3011 or email us at conference@parking-mobility.org.
