General
What meals are included with registration? Conference & Expo Coffee and tea will be available throughout the morning on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. A light boxed lunch will be provided Wednesday & Thursday. There are a limited number of vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free and other special meals available, based on the stated dietary needs on your registration form. The caterers at the hotel will do their best to accommodate dietary restrictions. Food will be labeled. Golf Event & Tournament If you are registered for the Golf Event & Tournament, a light boxed lunch will be provided when you arrive at the course and complimentary beverage carts will be available throughout event.
What is the dress code? Leave the tuxedo at home! Business casual attire is both acceptable and preferred. Be comfortable! The average high is 75 degrees in Tampa, and low of 50 degrees; pack smart! And it never hurts to add an umbrella! The conference and hotel locations are all in close proximity to one another and IPMI will not be offering daily shuttle service so bring comfortable shoes.
Is there a mobile app? Absolutely and you’ll find that it’s quite the buzz during the event with attendees engaging and connecting virtually even on the go. You’ll also find that it’s packed full of information and this year, in an effort to be more sustainable, IPMI will not be producing a phyical Program Guide and the content will be posted in the mobile app. It’s also a useful tool to start planning your session participation and getting to know other attendees long before your feet hit the ground in Tampa. You can find the mobile app in the Google Playstore or Apple App Store by searching for IPMI2021 beginning in late October.

How can I become a speaker at the IPMI Conference & Expo? The Call for Presentations is closed for 2021. For more information, including the submission process for future events, contact Kathleen Federici, federici@parking-mobility.org, with any questions.
Will all conference programming be held at the JW Marriott Water Street? All programming will be held at the JW Marriott Water Street. Locations for events not being held at the Center will be noted in the Events Section of the website or noted in the Schedule-at-a- Glance.
I’m an International Attendee. Can IPMI provide an invitation letter for my attendance? In order for IPMI to issue an invitation letter you must follow the below directions: First, you must register for the Conference and Expo and pay your registration in full. Send an email to mjones@parking-mobility.org with the following details: Full Name on Passport Country of Origin Passport Number Passport Expiration Date
I am in a wheelchair and will require assistance. I will be bringing my spouse/significant other/additional person for this purpose. Your support person will not have to register. We are happy to have you join us and will work with you to accommodate your participation. Please contact IPMI if you require such assistance at conference@parking-mobility.org. Hotel, Property, and Travel
When is the cut-off to book my room? The hotel cut-off is November 5th, however, please be aware, this only means that the IPMI contracted block of rooms is available to book up until that date, based on availability Many of our properties sell out well in advance of the cut-off date. Book early!
I forgot to book my room by November 5th – HELP! Deep breath! We want you there as much as you want to be there but we’ve got to be honest, we do not hold any sub-blocks or spare rooms in our back pocket. And when the cut-off date is gone, we have just a wee bit more pull than you do to try to get you in one of our properties at the IPMI negotiated rate, however, we will always give you 150% effort to make it happen. If you have missed the deadline, please email us at conference@parking-mobility.org.
Do I have to book inside the IPMI block? You can certainly book at any hotel property you desire and we understand that some of you may have your own organizations rules of travel, requiring you to stay at a specific hotel chain, however, there are multiple benefits to both you, the attendee and to IPMI, the organization for this sort of partnership. Rates and concessions have been specifically negotiated for IPMI attendees to help reduce costs in a number of ways including, complimentary Wi-Fi in some properties, complimentary breakfasts and/or evening refreshments or happy hours at other properties. IPMI and/or our partners/sponsors occasionally arrange for special messaging or room deliveries to IPMI attendees. If you have not booked inside the block, you are liable to miss out on important messages/offers or even surprise room drops. When IPMI has contracted a block of rooms and those blocks aren’t met, the association faces the potential of attrition which often includes financial impact to the association. Each year when contracting with our properties, IPMI uses a matrix and historical data to contract for the total sleeping rooms for the event. When you book outside the block, that data is not captured inside IPMI’s data and is not attributed towards IPMI’s contracted block and could adversely affect the association.
I received a call from someone offering to book my hotel (offering discounted or lower rates than the IPMI contracted rates.) Are they legitimate? None of our properties will contact you initially to book your hotel. These are pop-up entities that prey on convention traffic to run scams or meet quotas. Often times they will book your room but later you will find out that you don’t have a room onsite or you pay additional fees. These “room pirates” are extremely unscrupulous and are often long gone by the time the event rolls around. We strongly encourage you to book inside IPMI’s block to protect yourself and reap the benefits of IPMI’s negotiated concessions and messaging service during the event.

Is there funding available to help with travel/registration costs? IPMI does have a scholarship fund available to CAPP credential holders. Please download and read the guidelines for applying here.

What does a full registration fee include? Full registration fees include access to education sessions, admission to the Expo Hall and all General Sessions. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing, we will require attendees and booth staff attending sessions, to pre-register before arriving. We will reach out to you in early October to select the education sessions of your choice. These can be changed upon request.
I’d like to bring some of my staff, is there a discount for teams? Please reach out to us at conference@parking-mobility.org for this years team opportunities.
Do I have to be a member to attend the conference? No, you do not have to be an IPMI member to attend the 2021 IPMI Parking & Mobility Conference & Expo, however, you can save money on your conference registration if your organization joins today! You can choose to purchase membership through the Attendee Registration process or email us at membership@parking-mobility.org for more information. Be sure to provide IPMI's Membership Department with a full company roster before registering other persons from your organization to ensure they receive the member rate.
What is the cancellation policy? Cancellations may be submitted to Tina Altman: taltman@parking-mobility.org All refunds will be issued after the conference has ended via the original payment method. All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by October 25, 2021. A refund of the full conference fee, minus a $100 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date. No refunds will be granted for requests postmarked on or after October 25, 2021. We are unable to offer refunds for the William Voigt Golf CAPP Classic. No-shows are non-refundable and does not negate your financial responsibility for the registration fees You may transfer a registration to another person for a minimal administrative fee based on the time of your request. please see our Transfer/Substitution policy for further details.
What is the transfer/substitution policy? SUBSTITUTION POLICY: Substitution of registrations is permitted prior to the conference and onsite. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact information. Badge sharing, splitting, and reprints are not permitted. Badge sharing, splitting, and reprints are strictly prohibited. Submit your request to Conference@parking-mobility.org
What payment methods are accepted? We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Purchase Orders through our online registration process. We accept checks and can invoice your organization if necessary. Please note, we do accept multiple forms of payment for one registration form with multiple items.
I am a student and wish to attend the conference. Is there a discount for students? Yes, we are happy to extend a discount to students. Please contact conference@parking-mobility.org for more information.
